Course Content

Section 1: A Theology of Work
📘 Lesson 1.1 – Work: Curse or Calling? Overview: Many people see work as a burden or a necessary evil. But in the Bible, work was part of God’s original design—before the Fall. God placed Adam in the garden “to work it and take care of it” (Genesis 2:15), showing that work has dignity, purpose, and spiritual value. Key Points: Work is a gift from God, not a curse. Our attitude toward work should reflect worship and obedience. Colossians 3:23 reminds us: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.”

Section 2: Walking with Integrity
Lesson 2.1 – Excellence & Ethics Overview: Christians are called to stand out in the workplace—not just by words, but by how they live and work. Integrity, honesty, and excellence reflect the character of Christ. As Daniel stood out in Babylon, we too are called to shine in a competitive and often compromising world. Key Points: Integrity means doing the right thing even when no one is watching. Excellence is not about perfection, but about doing your best for God. Faithfulness in small tasks prepares us for greater responsibility (Luke 16:10). Your work ethic is a testimony to your faith. Reflection Questions: Are there areas where you’ve been tempted to compromise at work? What does “excellence for God” look like in your specific role?
